Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role

We’re looking for a Maintenance Supervisor who enjoys leading people, solving problems, and improving how work gets done. In this role, you’ll guide a team of maintenance professionals and partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Safety, and Quality to keep equipment, utilities, and facilities running safely and efficiently.

This is a great opportunity for someone who may have grown into leadership through hands‑on experience and is ready to make a broader impact through coaching, planning, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Lead & Support Maintenance Operations

  • Oversee daily maintenance activities supporting production, utilities, electrical systems, compressed air, chillers, and facility infrastructure.
  • Help reduce equipment downtime by identifying recurring issues and prioritizing practical, long‑term solutions.
  • Monitor equipment performance and use data, trends, and team insights to improve reliability.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs that strengthen asset performance over time.

Coach & Develop the Team

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of maintenance employees through hands‑on guidance, feedback, and development.
  • Encourage skill‑building, ownership, and safe work practices across the team.
  • Ensure work is planned effectively with the right materials, tools, and resources in place.
  • Promote clear documentation, root cause discussions, and shared learning.

Collaborate Across the Site

  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Safety, and Quality to support daily operations and improvement initiatives.
  • Work with contractors, vendors, and internal partners to meet site needs.
  • Share best practices and improvement ideas across teams and, where applicable, across the network.

Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Support a strong safety and quality culture and ensure work is performed in compliance with site and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and improvement projects.
  • Conduct regular walk‑throughs to identify risks, improvement opportunities, and operator feedback.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvement projects.
  • Assist with maintenance budgets, capital planning, and cost‑conscious decision‑making.
  • Help manage work orders, spare parts, labor allocation, and equipment documentation.
  • Provide leadership support for a 24/7 operation, including nights or weekends as needed.

What We’re Looking For

We know great candidates don’t always check every box. If you have relevant experience and are excited about this role, we encourage you to apply.

Experience & Background

  • Engineering degree or equivalent hands‑on experience in maintenance, facilities, utilities, manufacturing, warehousing, or industrial operations.
  • Experience leading or supporting teams in an operational environment.
  • Familiarity with maintaining production equipment, utilities, or facility systems.

Skills That Matter

  • People leadership: coaching, communication, and collaboration.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Comfort using maintenance systems and basic digital tools (CMMS experience is a plus, not required).
  • Willingness to learn new systems, tools, and processes.

Nice to Have (Not Required)
