Position Summary

With limited supervision, the Senior Inbound/Outbound Coordinator supports Supply Chain Operations by managing daily warehouse activities across inbound, outbound, and inventory functions. This role serves as a subject matter expert in SAP/EWM, coordinates workflow to ensure smooth freight flow, and resolves operational issues to meet daily service and customer commitments. The role also supports continuous improvement efforts and works closely with frontline teams and site leadership in a fast‑paced distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily inbound, outbound, and inventory activities using SAP EWM and warehouse systems (picking, loading, receiving).
  • Assign and balance workloads based on appointments, priorities, and available resources.
  • Manage yard operations using PINC/NYMS, including trailer moves and dock alignment.
  • Monitor freight flow, resolve operational issues, and minimize downtime.
  • Perform trailer inspections, audits (BOL, quality, ICC), and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
  • Communicate workload status, issues, and priorities to frontline teams and leadership.
  • Support inventory control, order fulfillment, fill rate performance, and FIFO practices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and small operational projects.
  • Ensure safety awareness, proper timekeeping, and adherence to site SOPs.
  • Answer front gate calls after hours (site‑specific).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations experience preferred.
  • Experience with SAP/EWM or warehouse management systems preferred.
  • Experience coordinating labor, equipment, and workflow in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Prior experience training or mentoring peers preferred.

Skills

  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable with system‑driven environments and ongoing process changes.
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and production requirements.
