Position Summary
Ensures incoming finished product compliance with Nestlé Quality Systems and Standards and other regulatory governances. Supervises and Directs the daily activities of the Inventory and Quality Control Technicians by scheduling and assigning workloads, and maintains close rapport with DC Operations to identify, solve and prevent problems affecting quality and Inventory. Leads quality and inventory activities and provides supervision and training of warehouse employees.
OPERATIONAL TASKS
- Monitors Quality and Inventory processes and procedures to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement
- Manages relationships with internal/external customers, suppliers, colleagues, and support services to ensure achievement of targets.
- Communicates standards and processes and trains site personnel on inventory/quality programs and best practices.
- Serve as a liaison between local management, associated third party (3PL) warehouses and corporate quality, finance, and planning
- Support corporate and DC-driven initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALITY
- Conducts in-house and quality audits in line with the Nestlé Quality Assurance Program.
- Ensures compliance for Nestlé Quality Standards and General Instructions
- Direct the coordination of product recalls HACCP and product holds in accordance to Nestle policy.
- Processing Non-Conforming Material -- specifically blocking / unblocking/ and salvage holds per QA-issued COS, aged stock reports, process donations, and product destruction
- Follow up on outstanding quality holds to expedite corrective action and final disposition. Includes all hold types, misc receipts, customer returns, aged stock issues, etc.
- Perform Daily/Weekly/Monthly QMS tasks and audits-examples - Inbound and outbound compliance, master sanitation and temperature monitoring,
- Maintains compliance to existing quality systems, identifies gaps and implements corrective actions. as it relates to seal breaches, housekeeping, sanitation, pest control, etc.
- Perform and/or coordinate various QA Projects as required - such as special re-inspection, sampling or sorting operations
- Assist with external audits by FDA, USDA, etc.
INVENTORY CONTROL
- Resolve order receipt discrepancies and support order processing in case of EDI failure
- Coordinate the month end close process to ensure all customer shipments have been processed including all transactions entered such as O/S/D, returns, hung orders, transfer orders, EDI exceptions, open orders, and pallet/CHEP loads..
- Proactive problem solving by consistently tracking, trending, and analyzing relevant data.
• REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
o B.S. Degree in Food Science, Quality, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain or other related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• EXPERIENCE:
o 1-3 years Supervisory/Leadership experience preferred
o 3-5 years in CPG or food industry preferred.
o Minimum of 3 years experience in QA/QC and or Inventory Control preferred
Knowledge of continuous improvement.
