A day in a live of a Strategic Commercial Manager (m/f/d):

  • Strategy Development: In this newly created position, you can apply your strategic skills to develop and expand the Discounter channel strategy, ensuring that we stay one step ahead in international markets.
  • Project Management: You will lead European business development projects for Discounters, connect categories and markets, and bring new approaches quickly into execution.
  • Networking & Training: You will build channel expertise across other Nestlé markets, design hands-on training sessions, and establish active knowledge transfer related to the Discount Channel. To achieve this, you will work closely with the Commercial Development teams.
  • Meeting Management: You will take responsibility for creating and designing presentations that optimally position the channel.
  • Variety Retail: As a Commercial Manager (m/f/d), you will oversee the subchannel, develop cross-country growth plans, and drive their international implementation.

 

What will make you successful:

  • Experience: After completing your studies (e.g., Business Administration), you have already gained several years of experience in Sales, Commercial Development, or a similar function—ideally within the FMCG environment.
  • Intercultural Competence: Working with different countries enriches you, and ideally you already bring relevant experience. You have business‑fluent English skills; German and/or additional languages are a plus.
  • Working Style: You work in a goal‑oriented and highly analytical manner, act independently, tackle topics proactively, and impress with clear communication and strong drive.
  • Data Competence: You are confident using tools such as Nielsen, IRI, GfK, or Drotax to make data-driven decisions. Visualizing insights in PowerPoint comes easily to you, as does working with other MS Office products.
  • Mindset: You enjoy thinking outside the box and continuously developing the role and its responsibilities.
