POSITION SUMMARY
The Training Supervisor leads site training execution to support technical and operational capability needs. This role manages site training processes and key training systems, including Training Foundations, competency development, onboarding, and upskilling pathways. The position partners with site leaders, Manufacturing Excellence, HR, and Learning & Organization Development to implement practical training solutions that support safety, compliance, workforce capability, and business performance. The Training Supervisor also provides day-to-day leadership for Trainers and Training Coordinators, where applicable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Strategy, Systems & Governance
- Execute site training plans in alignment with enterprise standards and Training Foundations.
- Own and maintain training matrixes, competency matrixes, learning plans, and training documentation for the site.
- Deploy and sustain standard training frameworks, templates, and digital tools in support of site capability building.
- Assess learning needs with site leaders and recommend training solutions based on performance, capability, and business requirements.
- Monitor training effectiveness through defined metrics and use insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure site training practices meet compliance, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Technical Capability & Skill Development
- Oversee site technical skills development programs for operators and skilled trades using standard tools, work instructions, and skills validation processes.
- Ensure structured onboarding, qualification, and upskilling pathways support safe, capable, and flexible operations.
- Apply adult learning principles in the design, delivery, and evaluation of technical training.
- Select and apply appropriate hands-on, classroom, and virtual delivery methods to build role readiness and capability.
- Gather and apply feedback from learners and leaders to improve training effectiveness and adoption.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and deliver training solutions using standard instructional design and project management practices.
- Analyze training needs, priorities, and available resources to support effective planning and execution.
- Partner with site leaders, HR, Manufacturing Excellence, and corporate teams to implement training solutions and share best practices.
- Participate in relevant training workgroups and communities of practice as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Training & Development, Organizational Development, or a related field desired; equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in training, learning and development, or capability building in an operations or manufacturing environment.
- Experience working across cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
- Manufacturing, factory, or distribution center training experience preferred.
- Prior experience leading trainers, coordinators, or frontline capability initiatives preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of technical training design, facilitation, and adult learning principles in manufacturing or operations settings.
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing Excellence, TPM, Lean, or similar capability-building systems.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Experience using learning systems, digital tools, and training data to manage capability development and measure effectiveness.
- Strong project management, organization, and change support skills.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and influencing skills across functions and levels.
- Ability to coach others, solve problems, and drive consistent execution.
- Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL
- Manufacturing facility environment with periodic off-shift or extended-hour support as needed.
- The position may require standing for long periods and working in a factory environment with machinery and equipment.
- Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines is essential.
- Up to 5% travel.
