POSITION SUMMARY:
Groundskeeper will be required to perform all job requirements and meet all qualifications as determined by management. The Groundskeeper shall perform duties under the general direction of the Facilities Maintenance Manager at the Nestlé Nutrition Fremont site. Groundskeeper with oversee the maintenance of all yards, grounds, and supporting equipment utilized at the Fremont properties and completes other Facilities duties as assigned.
 
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Schedule and maintain all Fremont site office properties for planting, trimming, mowing, fertilizing, and snow removal (both in-house and with contracted services).
  • Maintenance and repair of grounds equipment and extensive irrigation systems.
  • Coordinate the bidding process with contractors on parking lot and landscaping projects.
  • Assist Office Planning/Maintenance with furniture relocation, carpet installation, and office setups when schedule allows.
  • Maintain documentation according to Nestlé standards.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by Management or Team Leader(s).
  • All employees will support and participate in Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance Management (TPM) as a part of their job responsibility within their Business Unit or as assigned within the Facilities Maintenance department.
  • Employee shall follow Fremont Facilities safety & environmental objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report unsafe conditions immediately, report incidents immediately or by the end of the shift, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years of general groundskeeping.
EXPECTED SKILLS:
  • Functional Skills: Detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision, strong communication skills. Microsoft office: Excel and Word.
  • Operating Skills: Results focus, priority setting, timely decision making.
  • Energy & Drive: Pro-active, action oriented, strong drive for results, passion to win.
  • Organizational Positioning Skills: Excellent time management skills, organizational skills and multi-tasking skills required.
  • Personal & Interpersonal Skills: Customer focus, skilled to build and foster effective relationships with people at all levels of the organization: mentor/coach people when necessary.
  • Technical Skills: Landscaping and maintenance tasks using hand tools, power tools and various landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and snow removal machinery. General maintenance skills.
  • General Skills: Proficient in the use of Hand Tools. Ability to lift/carry/push/pull objects weighing up to 100 lbs. and climb ladders.

 

Salary: $43,182.00 to $62,997.00 per year

 

Bonus Eligibility: Yes


The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
