JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for leading and managing the product development, product sensory experience, and nutrition functions to develop competitive and innovative product solutions for Nestle’s Baby Food Meals & Drinks category, ensuring financial and consumer expectations are met with a high impact on the business
JOB RESPONSILIBILIES:
- Active member of the R&D Center Leadership team responsible for nurturing culture, developing people, and delivering new product, process & packaging solutions.
- Inspire and influence the development of Innovation & Renovation multi-generation pipelines in anticipation and response to business and consumer needs.
- Deliver innovation and renovation projects via effective prioritization, resource allocation, providing resources, tools, and coaching to the team
- Develop a foster an innovative culture and mindset within the team to enable breakthrough solutions.
- Enable team to act as the expert and advocate of the consumer throughout the development process.
- Ensure early-phase and on-going collaboration between all stakeholders.
- Lead and manage the development of people within the team actively monitoring and coaching all aspects of performance
- Develop and mentor members of the team to define personal and professional develop plans / career development.
- Actively partner with R&D functional leaders to build and maintain functional expertise across the team
- Identify and create synergies through effective networking with business and functional partners in R&D, Headquarters and Local Markets, applying network activities and project findings to Baby Food Meals & Drinks
- Uphold and ensure Food Safety, Food Quality, Occupational Safety, Health and Environment policies and procedures as pertains to role.
- Ensure efficient and effective knowledge transfer to local technical teams and factories
- Manage the budget
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Knowledge):
- BS Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in FMCG companies, with minimum 5 years of experience developing new products
- Sound knowledge of Nutrition, and Baby Food Category is a plus
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong networking and relationship building skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Able to work well in a collaborative team environment
- Experience in people management / leadership / development
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
A proactive independent person who is able to lead/manage/complete projects with minimal supervision. Creative and innovative with a sense of urgency and passion. There will be at least two formal meetings with the supervisor to evaluate the progress toward the goals. There is also the opportunity to work closely with other members of the team for guidance, as well as working with colleagues around the world. There will be formal training sessions set up for all new comers to Nestle as well as specific courses required as an R&D employee. The supervisor will set up a training plan, and it is the responsibility of the individual to execute the plan.
SUPERVISION GIVEN:
This individual does has direct reports and should able to lead, inspire, coach and develop team members
