Position Summary
Manages and coordinates Stockroom and Purchasing department personnel for Maintenance and Engineering at the Fremont manufacturing site.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for providing leadership and backup support of the Purchasing team in the execution of, including to but not limited to, the following tasks:
- MRO and Capital Purchasing through SAP. Budget Tracking and Developing
- Manage blocked/parked invoices to ensure timely payment to vendors
- Reconcile purchasing discrepancies with Suppliers and Requisitioners
- Manage GR/IR Report and coordinate corrections for discrepancies
- Update monthly conformance reports (PO after IR, over 20k, etc.)
- Facilitate contracts and maintain contract files
- Maintains vendor files (including maintenance contracts and special purchasing). Technical library and MECO support supervision
- Facilitate Corporate purchasing initiatives and be a Liaison between factory, NBS purchasing and legal department
Responsible for providing leadership and support to stockroom associates and activities in the execution of, including but not limited to, the following tasks:
- Receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping of equipment, parts, materials, and tools for the Maintenance & Engineering department
- Takes periodic inventory and cycle counts to verify accurate inventory levels are maintained
- Inputs and updates necessary records and reports as it relates to Storeroom KPIs
- Utilizes SAP to perform all computerized transactions (parts location, vendor evaluation, parts issuing, etc) as required
- Participate and oversee the TSWG and 5S activities related to technical stores
- Management of obsolete and slow moving parts program
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
- Required: Associate degree in Business Administration or related field with 2 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred: 2+ years experience with purchasing, budgeting, and financial responsibilities.
SKILLS:
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Above average communication skills (written and oral)
- Service-oriented attitude
- Proven ability to lead and coach others
- Strong listening skills
- Detail-oriented
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, is required; SAP experience is preferred
- Problem solving skills
- Strong negotiation skills
