Join our dynamic team as an Accounting Operations (AO) Supervisor, where you'll oversee and manage the General Ledger function, ensuring accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance with Nestlé Accounting standards at a Nestle in the market (Nim) level. The role will have oversight responsibility for several operating entities. The role collaborates with various teams within the organization to streamline processes and maintain strong relationships across different functions. The GL Supervisor has a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a strong attention to detail. The position will work with one or more operating companies in the U.S. market and have responsibility for their shared service accounting operations.
Responsibilities

Supervise and lead accounting professionals assigning tasks, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations

Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment

Manage and oversee the general accounting functions performed by onshore and offshore teams
-
Enhance partnership with the offshore team
-
Ensure accurate and timely completion of account reconciliations performed by offshore teams
-
Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and variances
-
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with Nestle accounting standards
-
Identify risks and develop controls to mitigates risks
-
Participate in special projects or initiatives as assigned by management
-
Lead/Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives
-
Responsible for escalation management to ensure timely resolution, and to drive down Key risk indicators
-
Provide technical support across assigned areas of responsibility
-
Provide support during internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field / CPA preferred

Minimum 7 years of experience in general accounting and people leadership

Proficient user of SAP or similar ERP system and MS Applications

Proven ability to leverage performance, development, and talent to build people capabilities.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

Passion for solving complex problems and generating cross-functional solutions.
-
Ability and desire to develop digital solutions, with proven skills in data awareness, visualization, and business partnering.
