We are currently looking for a Transportation Executive to join our Operations team.

Location: Gebze,Kocaeli

Type of contract: Permanent

As a Transportation Executive ,you will have the following responsibilities;

  • Agree on service requirements with Business and Finance and establish the targets.
  • Set targets for transport service and cost and continuously keep track on KPIs close to the target values by:
  • Putting in place a structured continuous improvement approach based on the application of Tools and the implementation of Best Practices
  • Implementing, monitoring and managing Safety, Health and Environment, Quality and CARE regulations and Best Practices
  • Ensure all Supply Operations are in in place.
  • Ensuring that legal obligations are met or exceeded (transport regulations)
  • Scheduling Inbound and Outbound flows and measuring attainment.
  • Driving cost saving initiatives to improve the performance and costs in transportation
  • Solving adequately any occurring transport issue
  • Influence Distribution Management and Customer Service in order to continuously improve service and cost through:
  • Regular communication e.g. delivery in right quantity, at right place/ window and information that will keep customers and Customer Service updated to manage proactively
  • Collaboration with internal customers and other functional departments (customer service, warehouse, factories, planning) to ensure an adequate level of flexibility of structures and processes:
  • To meet customer requirements or to deal with unexpected Supply Chain disruptions
  • To adapt to changes in the logistics and / or market environment
  • Ensure correct construction, control and management of the budget for transports (cost budget for transportation and possible investment requirements)
  • Organize tenders and select the most suitable transport companies.
  • Periodic LTT (Logistics Trade Term) negotiation with customers and LTT calculations.
  • Track & Trace and collaborate with IT stream for Transport related system improvements
  • In case there is bottleneck in the contracted third party for vehical supply, find alternatvie solutions to continue the busienss

Which profile are we looking for?

  • University degree (Bachelor’s Degree)
  • Fluent in English Speaking
  • Analytical Mindset
  • Min 3-4 years logistics, transportation, warehouse management and planning experience
  • Previous experience in Logistics Operations is a plus
  • SAP, SAP TM Skills are plus 
  • Advanced MS Office Skills (e.g. Excel, Power Point..)
  • Logistics process and product knowledge
  • Problem solving ability
  • Excellent finance knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Pragmatical and fact-based mindset 
  • Capability to work in team 
  • Proactive and curious person  
  • Ability and interest in working in a fast pace and rapidly changing environment
  • Relevant operational experience at market/ business level, in the following areas is beneficial: Customer Service, Warehouse Management,  Other logistic companies, Finance, Business Planning, budget control, cost management.
  • Experience in the management of projects such as: High Performance Logistics, Customer Logistics, Distribution Costing  and Sustainability.
