POSITION SUMMARY

The Payroll Coordinator will lead the assigned Payroll stream and services teams, ensuring the Total Service Quality, efficiency, and effectiveness for the service lines they are responsible for. Responsible for managing and processing payroll, ensuring standardization, compliance, and continuous improvement, in line with global guidelines and design.

 

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

 

Payroll service line:

  • Manages payroll's operational activities including payroll processing, direct deposit payments, online pay statements to be delivered timely and accurately to ensure that Service Level Agreements are met (quality and timeliness)
  • Manages and implements Collective Bargaining Agreements in payroll systems, handles employee data receipt (time, attendance etc.) and validation, follow-ups on incorrect pay information
  • Oversees execution of payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payroll to employees. Monitors data collection reports and checks for reasonability
  • Ensures payroll is executed in accordance with Market business and legal requirements
  • Proposes and ensures implementation of action plans, ensures that standard procedures, training materials and documentation related to payroll data administration are current, accurate and updated as necessary aligned with global standards
  • Partners with Market ES Team to make recommendations for new or improved performance categories and service level agreements
  • Oversees internal/external audits, knowledge base updates, year-end process interaction and payroll calendar setting
  • Standardizes client’s payroll processing system and procedures on a global basis, and provides timely, efficient, and accurate processing of payroll data
  • Identifies improvement and automation opportunities and aligns with global solution leads for implementation
  • Interacts with local partners to monitor evolution of legal requirements and partners with GLOBE and Market to ensure effective and timely implementation of legal requirements
  • Communicates any required payroll updates/changes to HR Service Center team including knowledge base content updates
  • Monitors controls and compliance, guarantee the implementation of compensating controls monthly according to guidelines set by national and international audits as well as local and international laws and legislations
  • Coordinate Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for the processes and service lines under their responsibility, performs routine data audits and ensures employee data are up-to-date and accurate
  • Provide the legal reporting, documentation, and collection as per the local legal requirements

 

Team leadership and management:

  • Leads the team in establishing and accomplishing objectives as aligned with the workstream priorities
  • Evaluates team performance and conducts regular coaching and appraisals
  • Creates and executes developmental plans for the team members
  • Ensures team productivity through effective work distribution and assignments,
  • Builds a strong talent pipeline
  • Fostering team development and retention
  • Manages team own budget.

 

SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE:

  • At least two years SAP HR/payroll system Experience
  • Experience working with Kronos and Workday
  • Knowledge and understanding of local and international payroll and tax laws and legislation
  • Project management Experience preferred
  • Effectively handles pressures and demands from multiple customers and competing priorities
  • strong customer focused attitude with a commitment to quality and customer Service
  • Able to handle highly sensitive HR and Payroll information in a confidential and professional manner
