Position Summary

Provides maintenance support to the plant and production lines.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Recommend improvements in area of responsibility. 

Consistently apply effective troubleshooting skills.

Complete cost effective repairs in a timely manner.

Interpret and understand engineering drawings, manufacturer’s instructions, and plant maintenance procedures and specifications.

Maintain positive working relations with fellow team members and other departments.

Use and show proper care of tools and instruments required in job assignments. 

Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner to include scheduled, emergency, and preventative maintenance.

Maintain a low level of downtime on equipment and/or systems in area of responsibility.

Solve repetitive problems in area of responsibility.


Requirements and Minimum Education Level

High school diploma or GED preferred

Must possess good mechanical skills, troubleshooting skills, general maintenance, and have a good understanding of the operation of production machinery.

Must have knowledge of machinery, mechanisms, pneumatics, bearings, gears, seals, sprockets, belts and vari-drives.

Must possess basic electrical skills to include troubleshooting of small HP motors and electrical control circuits on production line and auxiliary equipment.  

Must be able to read electrical drawings and schematics for basic AC circuits.
