Senior Production Supervisor, Line Owner
Position Summary
This position will lead and own the end-to-end results of a production line(s), ensuring that line targets are fully achieved on time and in compliance with Nestle requirements meeting safety, quality, cost, delivery and environmental needs. The Line Owner is the ultimate responsible to develop the autonomy of the shop floor operational teams through deployment of Nestle Continuous Excellence and Manufacturing best practices. The line owner owns and leads the line operations across 3 shifts through key standard routine deployment and working in close collaboration with production supervisors and IWG technical operators. The Line Owner directly reports to the Department Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for deploying Nestle way of working (NCE Goal Alignment/KSRs)
- 24 hrs results and attainment of production plan
- Working with production supervisors across other shifts to execute changeovers, cleanings, and start-ups (i.e., LOTO, Staffing Assignment, Supplies preparation, OJTs, Line release by QA/USDA)
- Follow up with production supervisors in case of deviations to line Key Standard Routines, to ensure timely preventive and corrective are taken and implemented promptly.
- Owners and authority for line standards for safety, quality and operational standards
- Timely completion of investigations, disciplines, MOC, SOPs, and SHE/Q incident reports
- Reviewing 4 weeks horizon production plans and identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Attend weekly production plan, tagging and staffing meetings.
- Driving problem solving (GSTD's) for respective area through to completion
- Tag management (creation, coaching, negotiation, prioritization, and planning)
- Drive line improvement activities/agenda in collaboration with support functions (engineering, ME, HR, Maintenance)
- Training and development of line operating teams (OJT/KSRs)
- Ensuring DMO losses and time classification is correct as per Nestle Standard, St. 21 908-03
- Daily review of PO variance and MUV reduction
- Executing leadership at the shopfloor/FHF
- Lead and participate in operational reviews.
- Providing back-up coverage when necessary for Production Supervisors
- Identifying and developing back-up for duties when off
- Coach IWGs on routine execution
- Communicating/coordinating with maintenance to ensure planned maintenance activities are executed.
- Being knowledgeable of your product and process for your lines/area
- Own and manage personal development plan.
Requirements and Education
- BA or BS degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Operations, Business, or Sciences Required.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a high-speed food manufacturing environment.
Skills
- Demonstrated capability to lead a group of people.
- Experience in different manufacturing operation
- Successful in leading projects involving different departments or functions.
- Exposure to implementing continuous improvement and employee involvement techniques.
- Implementation experience of TPM, Experience in change Management
