Position Summary

The Nespresso Team are recruiting for a talented B2C National Key Account Manager who will support Nespresso’s business growth by leading the Pure Player Key Account channel in Coffee Machine sales strategy, connecting customers to Nespresso direct channels and driving brand awareness to reach prospect buyers.

A day in the life of...

As a B2C National Key Account Manager you will implement and develop the sales strategy for the pure player channel ensuring key stakeholders are fully aligned. Your excellent market insight will help shape this and will allow you to develop and foresee future trends. You will always look out for new national accounts and assess their potential together with the field organisation. The management of relationships with key accounts and partners is also a fundamental element of this role where you will build and nurture strong relationships with existing and new accounts, including machine partners, to establish Nespresso as a premium positioned, category leader. You will also:

 

  • Support machine partners buyers and field structure with updates about key accounts status, opportunities and threats as well as develop and implement incentive actions in order to motivate KA and POS Staff to keep Nespresso at top-of-mind.
  • Execute the B2C sales strategy in collaboration with and through the field structure. You will ensure the right people are involved in the development and implementation of plans, set annual targets by Key Account and develop a detailed Key Account business and operational plan, define and agree promotional activities and liaise and coordinate with Trade Marketing to organize those activities. 
  • Manage forecasts in cooperation with machine partner, vendor, agents aligning the global machine supply with consumers demand and market strategy by sharing Nespresso’s commercial and marketing activities.
  • Ensure accurate sell-in & sell-out forecast per Key Account and implement the contract terms between Nespresso and machines partners. You will control and ensure sufficient stock levels per account.
  • Establish a visibility strategy ensuring the commitment to Nespresso presence in all concerned stores
  • Maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty (demonstration, club/coffee comm., MShopper)
  • Execute machines launches as well as promotional activities & incentives. You will innovate and improve promotional mechanics and redemption mechanics
  • Function as a Sales Representative for the POS, regularly visiting them with sales promoters, monitoring & reporting competitive activities 
  • Report monthly on sell-out, machine ranging, number of stores, new members and demonstration days per account. You will also report and follow-up competitors activities at trade level
     

What will make you successful

The successful candidate will have a successful track record in a sales environment in distribution of high end or mass market products. They will have experience in Account Management or Business Development and specifically with National Electrical Chains. They will have excellent communication skills with the ability to flex and adapt their style depending on the audience. They will also have:

 

  • Category Manager in retail industry
  • Exposure to customer
  • Premium Brand Management preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in household appliance category or in the coffee branch 
  • Demonstrated success in previous roles.
