Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for a talented Business Development Manager to join our Nespresso business. Reporting directly into the National Sales Manager this really is an amazing opportunity that will see you deliver growth for the business. You will be responsible for delivering a consistent customer experience in Trade through the implementation of qualitative commercial activities in retail stores [POS]. If you have some sales experience working within a similar role and want to work with a great team that is striving for excellence then this could be just the role for you. This is also a great entry role to develop into key account management.

 

Nespresso – a name synonymous with quality and innovation.  Our story began with a simple but revolutionary idea: to enable anyone to create the perfect cup of espresso coffee – just like a skilled barista.  Since 2001 in the UK, we have responded to consumers’ increasing appreciation for quality coffees and our continued year-on-year growth is testament to the quality of our offering.

A day in the life of...

You will have full store level accountability for accounts such as John Lewis, Currys and Debenhams where you will promote Nespresso within the Point of Sale to reinforce its Premium status and quality.

 

This will include:

  • Establish and manage the relationship with POS sales assistants and management
  • Ensure consistency of Nespresso brand presence and customer experience in all POS
  • Support the demonstrators program within the defined territory
  • Maintain training level and information flow between POS - Nespresso, delivering training directly
  • Travel within the defined territory is a must

As the successful candidate, you’ll have some sales and administration experience under your belt. You’ll be passionate, tenacious; results focused and enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. You’ll thrive when working with stakeholders across all levels coupled with your ability to truly understand our businesses from a commercial standpoint. You’ll have fantastic communication skills and understand how your decisions impact our Nespresso business strategy. You’ll love working in an environment that isn’t always the same, being able to navigate both yourself and stakeholders to positive solutions. And finally you’ll have:

  • A full, clean driving licence
  • Be highly organised, but adaptable with a positive attitude.
  • Experience of establishing and growing business relationships.
  • Great presentation skills, being able to influence both internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Some field sales experience ideally within department stores / electrical retailers.
