Position Summary

 

An exciting new vacancy has arisen in our Gatwick office for a Strategy Category Manager within our NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto business. NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto is one of the leading brands within the coffee Machine category and is a strategic priority for Nestlé globally. As the Strategy Category Manager you will have responsibility for developing and implementing a robust category plan based on the Customer, Consumer and Shopper insight, which delivers against targets: Volume, Growth, Revenue, Visibility and Share.

 

Nestlé’s Beverage Division is part of the wider, global Nestlé business and is home to a number of the UK’s number 1 brands including Nescafé and Nesquik. Nescafé is the biggest coffee brand in the world equating to over £6bn global turnover a year. Within the portfolio a range of sub-brands exist including the nation’s favourite Nescafé Original. This accounts for 25% of all instant coffee cups consumed in the UK!  The range also includes the iconic Nescafé Gold Blend, innovative Nescafé Azera, stylish Nescafé Dolce Gusto, and Starbucks coffee in home. Providing great quality coffee which tastes perfect and is ethically sourced is at the top of our agenda.

A day in the life of Strategy Category Manager

 

Within the UK NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto has a proven track record of continual growth.  Reporting into the Portioned Coffee Category and Channel strategy lead you will have responsibility of developing and executing category plans to maximise the availability and visibility of Nescafé Dolce Gusto Machines.

 

You will be developing strategic category plans to enable the key account manager to sell the brands story to key retailers and our machine partners.

 

You will also be responsible for:

  • Providing price recommendations and contributing to the promotional plans for the brand
  • Commercialise Category & Brand Plans to support new machine product launches.
  • Driving competitive and commercial advantage to deliver un-miss-able visibility by influencing range, merchandising & display decisions
  • Delivering alignment of sales and share forecasts in the monthly business planning cycle.
  • Management of customer investment budget to target and understand ROI in order to drive efficiencies in the plan. 
  • Share forecasting

What will make you successful

 

You will be a category professional which could be in any category and/or have commercial or insights experience in the Small Domestic Appliance market. 

 

We’d love someone to join us who has an entrepreneurial mindset and a proven track record of being able to combine sound analytic thinking with imagination to develop innovative proposals and present them in an inspirational and compelling way.

 

You’ll be commercially driven and able to bring excitement, enthusiasm and energy to this role to continue the successful journey of NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto.

 

You’ll be comfortable working with numbers and high budgets along with exceptional stakeholder management skills and revel in turning data into action.
