Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Coffee Ambassador (Coffee Expertise Manager)  to join our Nespresso business based at our head office in Gatwick with some business travel.  We are looking for a passionate personality  who stands out with a profound knowledge for coffee from bean to cup  , eager to  contribute to our success story and further establish Nespresso as the reference in coffee expertise in the UK & ROI coffee scene. This unique role  is targeted internally as well as externally and is part of our global community of Coffee Ambassadors, contributing to  key strategic projects in close cooperation with  our head office in Switzerland. The role covers B2C and B2B.

A day in the life of a Coffee Ambassador (Coffee Expertise Manager)

  • Be the point of reference for coffee expertise and education around our broad coffee portfolio for the UK & ROI market, inspiring and guiding our network of coffee bards
  • A capacity in the market to credibly represent and speak about our coffee credentials and sustainability agenda, introducing new launches and Limited Editions to the press as well as on events
  • Establishes and implements an annual strategy to increase Coffee Expertise in the UK & ROI market and drive coffee appreciation in collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

  • Spearheads and actively develops our  Coffee Bards, is pivotal in defining and implementing  Coffee Expertise Communication program andowns the execution of the Coffee Expertise Training Program
  • Supports the rest of the Marketing team and the HQ Coffee Team in the creation and execution of diverse topics and projects aiming to develop the coffee expertise perception of British and Irish consumers.
  • Organizes and runs consumer and media facing workshops, directly or with the support of the Coffee Bards.
  • Is an active member of our Global Coffee Ambassador network, working on strategic projects with our HQ in Lausanne, proposing new initiatives to leverage Nespresso coffee expertise and sharing best practice.

What Will Make You Successful?

As the successful candidate, you’ll have communication and public speaking skills, a strategic mind to drive change and propose internal and external activities, a good understanding and network within the uK & ROI coffee scene as well as a grasp on marketing strategy. Most importantly and above all you are driven by a  natural passion for all things around coffee and drive to explore coffee specialities. With a curious mind-set and tenacious personality, you’ll play a key role in driving innovative thinking and action for our coffee agenda by providing insight and training across the business. You’ll also have the ability to shape, own and execute our Coffee Expertise strategy for the UK&I market. You’ll also: 

 

  • Have a genuine passion for the coffee category. 
  • Have experience working with the media with a high level of communication, engagement and relationship building skills, experience in conducting media interviews will also be looked on favourably 
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of training others and feel comfortable presenting to external stakeholders
  • Experience in marketing and contributed to the creation of the Coffee Brand Strategy and its implementation across all the relevant touchpoints
  • Strong in stakeholder management, both internally and externally 
  • University degree in Business, Marketing, PR or Communications or equivalent
