Position Summary

 

We are looking for a full time Demand Planner to join our team for approx. 6-9 months to cover a maternity leave. You’ll be a proactive and hardworking person who has good logical reasoning skills and a passion for driving efficiencies. Based in Gatwick, you will be part of a diverse team of individuals, forecasting a range of products that will inspire you.

A day in the life of a Demand Planner

 

You will be responsible for maintaining and owning the rolling 18-month demand plan, using historical information and insight as well as predictive analytic tools provided.

 

Key responsibilities will include:-

 

  • Maintain and develop the demand plan by working in conjunction with the Marketing Team, Sales Team and the wider Supply Chain team.
  • Achieve sustainable Demand Plan Accuracy (DPA), implement improvements to Demand Planning processes and tools to deliver tangible benefits (e.g. better accuracy, time savings, increased efficiencies, etc).
  • Lead the Monthly Business Planning process for supply chain looking to drive continuous improvement
  • In accordance with the Consensus Demand Planning process, communicate relevant information to stakeholders by highlighting gaps, impacts of proposed actions and related trade-offs, ensuring the demand plan is realistic and achievable.
  • Capture and analyse Generating Demand events that effect the demand plan.
  • Proactive management of short supply lines, working with Sales, Product Supply and Customer Logistics to minimise case failures.
  • Provide key information on supply to the business unit, including changeover dates and over/under supply.

 

What will make you successful

 

  • Previous experience in Supply Chain in a demand planning role, ideally within FMCG.
  • Effective influencer and communicator across all levels of the business, with a drive to improve existing processes.
  • An inquisitive person with good analytical skills, as well as a strong problem solving mind-set.
  • Intermediate understanding of software applications e.g. Microsoft Excel, SAP, Power BI etc.
  • Excellent teamwork and reasoning skills, accompanied by a self-motivated passion for success.
  • An ability to adapt to the situation, allowing for pragmatic and agile solutions in this new environment.
