Position Summary

 

The Food & Dairy division of Nestlé have a really exciting vacancy for a Head of CCSD (Category & Channel Sales Development) to join the Leadership Team in Gatwick.  This is a Senior Leadership position, with a main purpose of leading and developing the Category and Channel agenda within the market, to deliver long term Category growth and profitably increase market share.

 

This is an integral role and part of a breakthrough consultancy project where we’re reinventing and redefining what food and dairy looks like for Nestlé – a really exciting prospect!

A day in the life of...

 

As Head of CCSD for Food & Dairy at Nestlé you will not only be responsible for leading the team of Category Managers, but will also sit on the Leadership Team and drive commercial activity for the business unit and represent  the UK on EMENA projects (in conjunction with BEO).  You will take responsibility for the following:

 

  • Define priority channels for the market/category, and create tailored Category Channel Plans.
  • Define the in-store vision of success including shopper plans for the category in each channel. Enable its implementation and continuously review the effectiveness of our in-store actions.
  • Establish winning commercial propositions and support the development of customer and field sales plans.
  • Coordinate the development of an aligned performance related strategy to support priority initiatives. Establish clear promotional guidelines by category and channel, and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of our trade investments
  • Actively Develop People through coaching and professional skills training. Ensure career & succession planning, PDP's and talent management processes are in place

 

What will make you successful

 

This is a Leadership position, and one that’s critical to the success of our business, so we’re looking for proven commercial leaders from within the Food industry, and those with the following skills and experience;

 

  • Previous experience in Marketing & Sales at senior level from within the Food industry
  • Demonstrable record of success in delivering key commercial KPI's
  • Understands key business functions i.e. Commercial, Finance, Technical, Supply Chain
  • Strong leadership and team working skills
  • Successful track record of developing people
  • Customer Knowledge (Retail and Distributor)
