Physical Logistics Lead – Aftersales

Position Summary

We have a fabulous opportunity for a talented individual to join the Nespresso Logistics team in the to manage our Aftersales Third Party Contracts (3PLs).
This is a full-time permanent opportunity, but we are always open to discuss individual’s flexible working needs so please speak to us during the recruitment process on what this could look like. A day in the life of...

  • Proactively manage Third Party Logistics (3PL) performance and drive continuous improvement in areas such as service, cost, sustainability, safety, stock accuracy
  • Liaise with Technical & Quality Department and Compliance department to ensure all aspects of our warehousing & distribution operations are compliant with Audit, Food Safety, Environment, Quality, Safety policies
  • Ensure quality communication with 3PLs and provide first point of contact for operational escalations 
  • Persistently drive for improvements to customer experience and reduction in complaints, completing analysis of relevant complaints and project managing improvements, liasing between 3PL and customer relationship centre.
  • Manage SC Communications and relationships with internal stakeholders / HQ / 3rd Parties
  • Manage the Destruction Cycle.
  • Project Manage Operational and System changes.
  • Ensure all invoicing and PR’s are completed in a timely manner.
  • Management of the budget for 3PL services
  • Working alongside Procurement to tender, negotiate and award contracts of a range of Logistics Services

  • Have a University Degree or equivalent and /or be qualified by experience only
  • Demonstrable relevant operational experience in at least one of the following areas: Supply Chain, Operations/Logistics, Procurement or Supply Planning
  • Have worked/been exposed to operational management of third party providers/suppliers 
  • Have previous experience of being involved in audit management in a Logistics environment
  • Have experience of Health & Safety management in a Logistics environment
  • Have successfully been involved in projects and initiatives that require a Commercial, Supply Chain and IT understanding and knowledge.
  • You’ll have the confidence and ability to effectively communicate and influence people at all levels both internally and externally. Your self-motivation and drive will help you succeed when solving problems in what can often be a complex and demanding environment. This coupled with your proactive nature and the drive for continuous improvement will be key.
