Position Summary

 

We are recruiting for an experienced Pricing Finance Analyst to join our Purina finance team. This is a brand new role and an exciting opportunity that will see you play an instrumental role as a pricing analyst to ultimately provide timely and accurate financial information to the Purina business providing financial guidance, insight and best in class support to ensure we meet the pricing expectations for the UK&I within Purina EMINA.

 

A day in the life of...

 

You will be designing and implementing an effective pricing management structure that will allow you to evaluate the 3 nett prices across all customers and materials, identifying where risk could exist, provide mitigation & guidance to the business to ensure derogations are obtained (where applicable) or where opportunities exist to bring pricing back into 3 nett corridors.

 

  • Ownership of end to end pricing process – identifying current and possible risk during the NPDI process
  • Issue 3 nett reporting to the UK&I business proactively, monthly to allow for actions to be taken within the current MBP cycle
  • Able to provide insight and direction to the business, you will ensure that all derogations required are achieved
  • Be the point of contact for Purina UK&I on all 3 nett matters with NPPE
  • Ensure customer trade spend is mapped to the correct CRM condition type, therefore 3 net by customer calculates correctly against the specified 3 Net categories & in line with expected trade spend forecasts & accruals and forecast
  • Liaising with Commercial Finance and Sales you will be able to drive all 3 nett queries to resolution in a timely manner
What will make you successful

 

To be successful in this role you will be a part or working towards your ACCA /CIMA with a breadth of finance experience, including commercial finance already under your belt. You’ll be self-sufficient and results focused with great analytical skills. You’ll have an excellent eye for detail and understand how your decisions impact the wider business strategy for Purina. You’ll also have great communication skills that enable you to challenge and influence across all levels whilst being able to develop positive stakeholder relationships. Being proactive and challenging in order to arrive at a resolution is a must, as is having a real desire to get to the heart of issues that may arise. Coupled with your ability to be flexible when prioritising work in an environment that will often be ambiguous and sometimes pressured.

You will also;

 

  • Have excellent excel skills - formulas & pivot tables essential
  • Good knowledge of price management and ability to manage data
  • Ability to multitask
  • Previous experience of price management preferred
  • SAP experience preferable – BW reporting, data extraction
