Gatwick

Salary: circa £45,000 depending on experience + car allowance + potential bonus + fantastic benefits

Due to the growth in Online shopping, we have a brand new and exciting opportunity in the Sales team for someone to join us as a Pureplay Business Analyst.

A day in the life of a Pureplay Business Analyst

 

You will be responsible for developing and sophisticating our operation with key Pureplay customers, ensuring data and analytics are optimised to inform business decisions and to drive growth in this key business area.

Key tasks include:-

  • Analyse data and identify new trends/patterns to drive business results
  • Work closely with internal business teams to extract or mine information from our existing systems to create new analysis and expose data from our group to wider teams in intuitive ways
  • Provide feedback to streamline existing processes to help the team achieve more consistent high-quality results
  • Develop and maintain metrics allowing more granular explanations of Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Business report trends, as well as identify opportunities for cost savings and quality improvements
  • Produce regular reports and analysis, write systems queries to gather data, perform data-mining and analysis using tools including MS Excel, Power BI to identify trends and develop forecasts
  • Participate in industry and other professional networks to ensure awareness of industry standards, trends and best practice in order to strengthen organizational and technical knowledge

 

What will make you successful

 

You will have experience in eCommerce business analytics and are confident in leading analysis to define recommendations and presenting these to key stakeholders, including Senior Stakeholders across the UK and Global team. Experience working with Amazon and Ocado is a real advantage.

You’ll be able to show previous experience working with cross-functional teams for implementation of project requirements and this will be strengthened by your excellent communication skills where you can demonstrate your ability to communicate complex technical problems in simple plain stories.

You’ll also need:-

  • Analytical skills – with the ability to start from ambiguous problem statements, identify and access relevant data, make appropriate assumptions, perform insightful analysis and draw conclusion relevant to the business problem
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Data analysis/Advanced Microsoft Excel/Access skills
  • Exceptional problem solving skills
  • The ability to work effectively & independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Confidence liaising with external customer contacts, supply chain and cross category matrix
