Lead Customer Business Manager – Tesco

Location Gatwick

Salary: circa £80,000 depending on experience + car allowance + potential bonus + fantastic benefits

Position Summary

 

We are looking to recruit a talented Lead Customer Business Manager to join our Tesco Sales team.

A day in the life of a Lead Customer Business Manager

 

The Tesco Beverage Lead Business Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in the UK Beverage business. Leading the growth agenda on the £140 million RSV business in the UK’s number 1 retailer. This role has 2 direct reports. The influencing required within Nestlé is high as your key stakeholder group has circa 30 individuals across all functions. You will also play a strong leadership role within the Beverage business both with the other Business Managers and the wider team. The ability to influence beyond your direct team is critical.

Key deliverables will include:

  • The creation, selling and execution of the Nescafé and Starbucks plans in collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders both internally and with Tesco.
  • Deliver sustainable Nescafé and Starbucks share growth in the market.
  • This role encompasses the agreement of the base and promotional plan with Tesco and the management of our investment in Tesco.
  • You will lead the development of our strategic Beverage plan with Tesco.

 

Key contacts will be the Tesco Buying team who you will interact with daily and meet with on a weekly basis.

What will make you successful

 

You will have Multiples Sales and Category leadership experience along with:

  • A track record of delivering a winning commercial plan with customers is expected.
  • Strong influencing skills and a high degree of adaptability is required.
  • Exceptional leadership skills both internally and with the Tesco team.
  • Demonstrate agile thinking and leadership as we shape our plans to win in this dynamic marketplace.
  • Excellent coaching skills to develop your direct team and the wider organisation.
  • Previous category experience is a key requirement.
  • A passion and hunger for excellent in all you lead and execute with your team in the market.

 

This role is a key sales role in NUK and is a strong platform for future development into the Nestlé Sales Leadership team.
