Position Summary

The Food & Dairy team are looking for a talented and ambitious Brand Manager who will manage the convenient meal solutions range. In this exciting and varied role you will be responsible for the management of both the Maggi Noodles and Mezeast Middle Eastern brands to create and deliver the annual and long term objectives. You will also lead innovation in convenient meal solutions for the UK working with the Zone team to create, develop and launch new ideas in this category.

Our ambition across the Food division is to accelerate the Nestle journey of transformation through a healthier, sustainable by design portfolio, that connects consumer and customer needs digitally first.  Within the UK our role has always been to drive profitable growth and within our core categories addressing key trends such as nutrition, health and wellness, relevance through eBusiness and authentic Foods. Across our food portfolio we have some fantastic brands such as MAGGI which is the largest food brand in the world, and our purpose is to “Help people cook the fresh food they love and believe in, everyday”.  Mezeast is our new Middle Eastern brand which is launching in June and seeks to make delicious middle eastern cuisine easier to share and enjoy. 
 

A day in the life of...

There are 3 core elements to the Brand Manager for Convenient Meal Solutions role:

 

  1. Managing and developing our core Maggi Noodle business
  2. Launching and developing our exciting new Middle Eastern brand, Mezeast. 
  3. Helping to create some new innovation projects in the convenient meal solutions category 

 

To do this you will:

 

  • Deliver the annual plan and KPIs for Maggi Noodles and Mezeast
  • Create and develop the brand strategy and plans for future years, including the roll out of Mezeast to new channels and customers.                                                                                                                                                                          
  • Manage and deploy the marketing budget effectively, utilising or creating communication assets and developing a media and digital plan                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  
  • Work collaboratively with Zone colleagues, create and deliver an innovation plan for Noodles, Mezeast and Convenient Meal Solutions that deliver against the strategy and long term brand ambition                           
     

What will make you successful

The successful candidate will bring with them a wealth of fantastic marketing and commercial experience. They will have a proven track record of successfully launching any creative NPD in a complex mature market as well as the ability to nurture newly created brands. Strong communication, project management, analytical and relationship building skills are also key to this roles success. They will also:

 

  • Have innovation experience and the ability to ideate to identify and create winning propositions in mature markets, levering insights and category management principles
  • P&L management experience 
  • Experience influencing & managing stakeholders
  • Experience working in a large matrix organisation, ideally in FMCG
