Position Summary

Sales roles working across our Pure Play customers really are fast paced and exciting! This role is no different, it's of strategic importance as we've got big plans in conjunction with our customers. Reporting directly into the Pure Play Customer Business Controller this role can be based from either our York or Gatwick offices whilst offering a blend of hybrid working. 

 

Due to the growth in online shopping, it’s an exciting time to join a team that's really at the heart of our eCommerce agenda. We are looking for somebody who can really add value and expertise for this important growth area. The key objective of the team being to drive competitive advantage and lead market-share plans to win the hearts and minds of our online shoppers. In this fast-changing landscape, you will manage and grow our Pure Play Accounts, Amazon and Ocado.  There is huge potential and opportunity for continued success in this role, so it’s a great time to join the team and be part of this journey. 

A day in the life of a Customer Business Manager Amazon & Ocado...

You will be responsible for the development, management and execution of the Amazon and Ocado accounts whilst leading various Amazon specific projects. Working with a high level of autonomy you will be responsibilities for: 

 

  • Delivering market share winning plans and sustainable growth with Ocado and Amazon.
  • The full accountability of the P&L within your category/categories whilst ensuring achievement of KPIs e.g market share growth, sales growth and profit.
  • Creating strategic Joint Business Plans with the customer to secure maximum distribution and growth for the category/categories.
  • Acting as the internal and external face of Nestlé and our customer brands within the online channel.
  • Building tactics aligned with the Pure Play strategy and execute flawlessly with our e-retailers.
  • The internal responsibility for the ongoing alignment of plans and the delivery of high forecast accuracy to the business.
  • Delivering flawless retail customer management e.g. day to day, monthly governance sessions, quarterly reviews and more.
  • Leading weekly sales calls and cross functional working with our Finance, Supply Chain, Operations and Marketing teams.

What will make you successful

To be successful in this role, you’ll already have proven experience within a commercial environment ideally with an eCommerce bias. You’ll have a solid understanding of the retail commercial and customer landscape with passion for learning.

 

You’ll also be:

  • Sales and results driven, with a winning and high-performance mindset.
  • Highly commercial, and able to evidence your successful impact on commercial performance. 
  • A strategic thinker with great commercial awareness and excellent numeracy skills 
  • Experience of managing a complex P&L’s.
  • Driven to achieve new business targets and able to evidence a track record of sustained strong performance in role, showing how you have adapted to changing priorities.
  • Analytical and strong numerical skills.
  • Used to a high level of autonomy and networking to achieve results.
  • You’ll have experience in a sales or customer facing commercial role (e.g NAM, Business Development) 
  • You’ll also enjoy a challenge, and have a positive “can do” attitude.
