c.£40,000 – £45,000 depending upon experience + potential bonus + excellent benefits

A day in the life of a Category Development Manager

 

In this exciting and dynamic role within the Out of Home Category Development Team, you will lead the category agenda, ensuring we are delivering category and shopper insight-based plans to drive the Bottled Water category for our business and our retail partners.  

 

You will be instrumental in accelerating the influence and implementation of the Nestlé Waters’ Category vision across the business by leading the category and shopper capabilities to inform and inspire how we continue to drive our growth agenda, by working closely with the commercial teams (Brand, Shopper and Sales).

 

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

 

  • Develop and implement winning customer category plans to successfully deliver category growth
  • Drive our category strategy both internally and externally by engaging multiple stakeholders to deliver key category initiatives
  • Drive the category management process across your customers, to influence customer category space, ranging, merchandising, promotion, and display decisions to help grow the category and create competitive and commercial advantage
  • Drive the Nestlé Waters category development agenda by building a strong network of external relationships with key customers, be customer facing - offering objective category advice and shopper insight to secure and lead partnerships for category growth.
  • Tailor and present compelling customer category selling stories which encompass Data-Insight-Action-Implementation.
  • Identify category opportunities based on strong customer & shopper insights and developing and executing category strategies to unlock the category potential 
  • Lead the customer category planning, range review and execution cycles
  • Evaluate our promotional effectiveness across the Out of Home channel & embed learnings into future plans
  • Influence the execution of the Shopper Marketing plans to deliver the appropriate level of online and offline in-store marketing activity for Nestlé Waters brands against the key shopper opportunities within nominated accounts

  • Strong graduate calibre with evidence of strategic ability in previous roles
  • FMCG experience in sales / category development / shopper development
  • Flexibility and agility to solve problems / challenges rapidly and creatively
  • Strong evidence of working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver exceptional results
  • Experience in using and interpreting data and insight tools and ability to convert data into strong insights. 
  • Experience in working in the Out of Home channel
  • Strong influencing skills with commercial acumen is a must
