Customer Business Manager – Convenience, Forecourts & High Street
Field based role with a requirement to be in the Gatwick office on a regular basis

Salary c£40,000 plus potential bonus + fantastic benefits

Position Summary

Nestlé Waters (NWUK)  is the world leader in the bottled water market and we’re committed to bottling the very best waters from the source, straight to our customers, via the most advanced and sustainable techniques currently employed. We have a genuine passion for healthy hydration, a fabulous portfolio of brands, a clear strategy and a determination to win in the marketplace of both consumers and customers. 
In this position, you will be responsible for the relationship between NWUK and our existing customer base in a channel of strategic importance. You will also target and develop key accounts with whom  NWUK currently do not trade. Key outputs will be to deliver profitable volume & value growth (additive to NWUK average) and market share for NWUK brands, with accountability for the full P&L delivery for a defined portfolio of customers. 
You will also be expected to keep abreast of competitor activity and market intelligence within the sector and support with the development channel strategy to ensure we have the tools we need to win in this area now and in the future.
 

A day in the life of a Customer Business Manager

In this exciting and dynamic role within Nestlé Waters, you will be fully accountable for the existing customer base, as well as the opportunity to develop a target portfolio of accounts. You will drive the leadership and delivery of a profitable market share winning plan by creating, selling and executing Joint Business Plans with the customers and teams, and selling through insight via the 4Cs way. You will deliver on sales fundamentals of P&L management, forecast accuracy, pricing and deductions.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
•    Manage and develop your portfolio of accounts through negotiation, agreements and implementation of joint business plans
•    A key part of this role will be focused on unlocking distribution opportunities across the Convenience channel to accelerate growth 
•    Construct/maintain robust defendable trading terms
•    Build effective relationships through appropriate contact strategy
•    Build and secure internal approval of annual plans for the customers
•    Monthly monitoring of agreed annual operational plan (Volume, Total Trade Spend and Net Proceeds of Sale)
•    Monthly monitoring and presentation of key KPIs
•    Provision of effective selling tools working with CMO, and effective use of Market Data and trends
•    Providing effective in-outlet intelligence 
•    Effective Trade Spend management and forecast accuracy
•    Cross functional working internally with key stakeholders across Nestle in the Market.
•    On-going promotion evaluation where relevant
•    Volume Forecast accuracy 
•    Ensure day-to-day account issues are dealt with effectively & efficiently and with customer focus.

•    Proven Commercial experience – ideally within the FMCG industry

•    Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
•    Strong Category Management skills
•    Interpersonal Skills
•    Numerate with good understanding of P&Ls
•    Ability to credibly communicate and influence using reliable data and facts
•    Innovation and adaptability to drive the business forward.
