Position Summary
Being a Sales Planning Executive at Nestlé is about being passionate about sales, being proactive, efficient, highly analytical and providing pivotal support to the Nestlé Purina Sales Team. We have a great opportunity based at our Gatwick site, to work with our Sales team as a Sales Planning Executive.
The Sales Planning Executive plays a key role within the business and is responsible for working closely with the Customer Business and Sales Finance teams to deliver through our business planning processes, accuracy and timeliness in our Customer plans both internally and externally.

A day in the life of a Sales Planning Executive
As Sales Planning Executive, you will be responsible for the effective and compliant management of trade activities through our Customer Relationship Management system.
Key responsibilities will include:
- The set-up and maintenance of planning information in our Customer Plans internally, to ensure accuracy against finance and business reporting KPIs
- Responsible for ensuring Nestlé best practice is adhered to through our Customer Planning processes.
- Responsible for the completion of pre and post evaluation on activities within the Customer Plan to enable decisions by the business on the execution of activities – in line with the pre and post evaluation policy.
- Responsible for providing the Business Manager with a populated promotional proposal in line with the customer plan and timelines.
- Providing internal reporting and insight to support the monthly business planning process, in order to give the business the necessary visibility and understanding of the latest performance and position of the customer plan
What will make you successful
This an entry role into the Sales team, therefore prior experience is beneficial but not essential.
Experience of working in a commercial environment and delivering against KPIs as well as working as part of a team to deliver results are what we’re looking for. You will work as part of a fast-moving team managing customer plans where accuracy and attention to detail are key to ensure a right first-time result. You will be motivated to be part of a team, build great relationships, and be open to how we can continuously improve as a team, to be the best!
Other key skills:
- A proactive attitude and a self-starter
- Naturally curious, it is crucial that you be able to take the initiative when faced with any obstacle to solve problems and overcome barriers
- Demonstrable commercial/financial acumen
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable using other Microsoft Office programs - IT literate
- Organised & adept at planning & prioritising workloads
- Makes good use of insightful information and is naturally analytical
