Position Summary
We might be biased but we believe our Sales team here at Nestlé is pretty great and a unique place to work! As Nestlé’s multicategory sales team, we manage and develop our customer relationships across Confectionery, Coffee, Food, Dairy and Infant Nutrition. Think Nescafé, KitKat, SMA and much more! We are recruiting for a Business Analyst to join our expanding eCommerce team. This is a fantastic new role due to the growth in Online shopping. It’s certainly an exciting opportunity within our Sales team for someone to join us working across Amazon and Ocado in a key role to help us drive business growth through analytics and insight.
A day in the life of a Business Analyst – Amazon & Ocado…
You will be responsible for developing and sophisticating our operation with our key Pureplay customers (Amazon and Ocado), ensuring data and analytics are optimised to inform business decisions and to really drive growth in this key business area.
You will also:
- Analyse data and identify new trends/patterns to drive business results.
- Work closely with internal business teams to extract and mine information from our existing systems to create new analysis and expose data from our group to wider teams in intuitive ways that drives action.
- Provide feedback to streamline existing processes to help the team achieve more consistent high-quality results.
- Develop and maintain metrics allowing more granular explanations of weekly/monthly/quarterly business report trends, as well as identify opportunities for cost savings and quality improvements.
- Produce regular reports and analysis, write systems queries to gather data, perform data mining and analysis using tools including MS Excel and Power BI to identify trends and develop forecasts.
- Participate in industry and other professional networks to ensure awareness of industry standards, trends and best practice in order to strengthen our organisational and technical knowledge.
What will make you successful?
To be successful in this role you will already have some great experience in eCommerce business analytics and be confident in leading analysis to define recommendations and presenting to key stakeholders, including senior stakeholders across our UK and Global teams. If you have previous of experience working with Amazon and Ocado this would be a real advantage. You will be able to demonstrate experience of working with cross-functional teams for implementation of project requirements and this will be strengthened by your excellent communication skills where you can demonstrate your ability to communicate complex technical problems into simple and easy to grasp ways. You might come from a commercial finance background or a commercial background (sales/category) we are flexible, what we need is somebody to demonstrate a real passion for analytics and the ambition to make a real difference in this space.
You will also:
- Have great analytical skills, with the ability to start from ambiguous problem statements, identify and access relevant data, make appropriate assumptions, perform insightful analysis and draw conclusion relevant to the business problem.
- Have outstanding attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Be experienced in data analysis coupled with advanced Microsoft Excel and Access skills.
- Be able to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate credibility when liaising with external customer contacts, supply chain and cross category teams.
- Understand the importance of working in a customer centric way.
- Be courageous, we’re not afraid to think differently and embrace new ideas. We want you to disrupt what we do in the right way to drive great results and change.
