Senior Customer Business Manager – Top 4 Grocer

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Manager with an established successful track record managing a Top 4 Grocery Customer.  In this business critical role, you will be responsible for managing the relationship between Nestlé and a Top 4 Grocer, driving value and volume growth to accelerate market share for NUK brands with full accountably for the P&L.

A Day In The Life Of...

 

In this exciting and dynamic role within Nestle there will be full accountability for a Top 4 Grocery customer and you will drive the leadership and delivery of a profitable market share winning plan by creating, selling and executing Joint Business Plans working cross functionally and with the Senior Leadership Team as required. 


Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Manage & develop Top 4 Grocer through selling the Nestlé way, successful negotiation and effective implementation of agreements and joint business plans including online
  • Construct, maintain and track robust defendable trading terms and joint business plans 
  • Build effective relationships through appropriate contact strategy 
  • Secure internal alignment and approval of annual plans 
  • Monthly monitoring of agreed annual target for NNS, Volume, Mix, and Total Trade Spend.
  • Management of the Sales Planning tool to facilitate accurate CRM management       
  • Volume and Value forecast accuracy to support DF Process                                                                                                                                                                  
  • Utilisation of data (EPOS, Market Data, Trends) to create compelling selling stories
  • Effective Trade Spend management 
  • Ensure cross functional alignment through collaborative approach working with other departments both internally and with key stakeholders across Nestle in the Market.
  • Involvement in Pre and Post evaluation process to ensure effective use of trade spend
What will make you successful

 

This is an exciting unique opportunity to develop your Customer Business Management skills managing a Top 4 Grocery customer and working for the largest food company in the world.

 

  • You should be results focused and highly driven, with strong communication and inter-personal skills and ideally you will have experience of managing a Top 4 Grocery customer and a proven track record of delivering results and sustained outperformance within a sales environment.
  • You will have the ability to think strategically, be highly numerate, have a clear understanding of category dynamics and demonstrate a highly developed understanding of how to unlock Omni channel opportunities. An ability to communicate clearly and simplify complex problems is essential as you will need to influence internally to secure winning propositions for your customer.
  • You will be experienced in creating, selling and executing winning joint business plans and have strong presentation and negotiation skills

 

Externally this role is a great opportunity to develop your networking and influencing skills across our customer’s contact matrix where strong relationships are highly valued.
