Category Supply Planning Lead  - 12 month fixed term contract

Location: Gatwick or Hammersmith

Salary: circa £40,000 depending on experience + potential annual bonus + fantastic benefits

 

Position Summary

 

We are looking for a Supply Planning Lead who will work with the Demand & Supply Planning Manager to lead and coordinate the supply planning team; a proactive and passionate individual who has excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

A day in the life of a Category Supply Planning Lead

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Accountable for the total supply plan which meets demand at optimum levels of inventory and cost.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize processes and tools to drive speed and agility at appropriate cost.
  • Communicate relevant information to stakeholders by highlighting supply issues, and the impacts of inventory with related opportunity costs.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize Intermarket Supply logistics costs.
  • Drive connectivity with demand planning, suppliers, procurement, logistics and customer services to ensure we achieve KPIs effectively.
  • Proactive management of critical supply lines, working with Starbucks, Suppliers and the wider team to minimise any Customer Service failures.
  • Help support the supply of new growth opportunities and management of supplier changes for the business
  • Providing leadership in the Nestlé Starbucks Supply Chain Team

 

What will make you successful?

 

You’ll come with strong knowledge and experience from a previous Supply Planning role. FMCG experience would be advantageous.

You’ll also:-

  • Have excellent teamwork and coaching skills accompanied by a self-motivated passion for success.
  • Be an effective influencer and communicator across all levels of the business, with a drive to improve existing processes.
  • Be inquisitive and proactive with good analytical skills, as well as a strong problem solving mind-set.
  • Have an intermediate understanding of software applications e.g. Microsoft Excel, SAP etc.
  • Have an ability to adapt to different situations, allowing for pragmatic and agile solutions in a new environment.
