Level 3

Combine your proven commercial skills and Passion for Pets in a role where you can influence the quality of their lives - with Nestlé Purina. New Business roles with a REAL difference.

Position Summary

Millions of pet owners across the world trust the brands of Nestlé Purina Pet care. As the world's leading Pet Care Company, we’re passionately committed to the role nutrition plays in the health and well-being of our best friends and companions and are now at the leading edge of both clinical nutrition and life stage/lifestyle maintenance with PRO PLAN and PPVD, which provides pets with specialised nutrition to help manage their health condition. So, bring your passion to enhance the lives of pets – and your career.

A day in the life of...

As a Veterinary Nutrition Partner in this field-based role, you will drive recommendation of PRO PLAN and PPVD in new and existing veterinary practices. That means identifying and converting new business opportunities to achieve targets, as well as developing your relationships with Purina Clinics to ensure their recommendation.

Key requirements of the role include:

  • Building and maintaining your own knowledge of animal health and nutrition to enable you to advise and recommend knowledgeably to veterinary professionals
  • The ability to demonstrate a strong customer focus, as liaising directly with the customer and building relationships is imperative.
  • Resolving queries quickly and efficiently whilst dealing with day-to-day problem solving within the role.
  • Budget management and trade spend tracking.
  • Representing Nestle Purina at key veterinary events.
What will make you successful

To be a success in this role, we’re looking for candidates with experience in Field Sales with a real passion for pets.

You may also be a commercially astute Vet Nurse, a Vet or Vet Practice Manager looking to step into a sales focused role, or you may already be in a Field Sales role within the Animal Health industry.

Key attributes will include:

  • Tenacity rather than pushiness – it’s a long-burn sell where you need to develop the relationship and gain the trust and confidence of your prospect
  • Experience of B2B Sales
  • Account Management – someone who can win and grow accounts
  • Strong all-round communication and presentation skills
  • The confidence and enthusiasm to build relationships with influencers at all levels
