 POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Forklift Operator role in our Nestlé ambient environment is crucial to optimizing the selection and loading process of Nestlé products. Your main responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of orders, achieving set target rates per hour, and upholding product integrity and quality standards throughout the loading process. Additionally, you will be utilizing various inventory and tracking systems, and your keen ability to recognize waste will be key in adjusting execution accordingly. WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:

  • Hourly pay rate of $25.00
  • Additional shift differential of $2.00 for working night shift
  • 401k with company match

  • 40 hours of Paid Sick Leave
  • Insurance eligibility begins on 31st day of employment.
  • 11 paid holidays
  • Will start on a Monday- Friday Day shift schedule and eventually transition to a continuous operation schedule.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH:

  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in the order selection and loading processes.
  • Complete and maintain forklift certification.
  • Utilize the Voice Activated Picking system for accurate and swift loading onto delivery trucks, while maintaining quality inspection forms.
  • Prepare necessary documentation to ensure the highest quality finished product for customers.
  • Maintain performance expectations and identify opportunities for improving distribution center operations.
  • Recognize and address waste within the distribution center, contributing to the development of action plans for continuous improvement.
  • Learn and proficiently use inventory and tracking systems such as EWM and SAP.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, share ideas openly, encourage performance, provide feedback, and train new employees when required.
  • Ensure safe practices, follow corporate safety guidelines, use personal protective equipment, and address any observed unsafe conditions proactively.
  • Always maintain a high standard of housekeeping and safety compliance.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma, or GED, preferred.
  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work is essential.
  • Successful completion of post-offer background checks and drug screen.
  • Flexibility to work the assigned schedule, including weekends, holidays, and required overtime.
  • Preferred experience with warehouse equipment, including forklift, rider pallet jacks, bomber, etc.
  • Pallet Jack certification is preferred, but not required.

 

SKILLS:

  • Pallet Jack certification is preferred, but not required
  • Maintain a stellar operating record for powered industrial equipment, always prioritizing safety.
  • Proactively initiate tasks, tackling challenges with enthusiasm and exceeding required goals.
  • Sustain a high level of activity and productivity, operating with urgency, efficiency, and determination.
  • Handle pressure and opposition with professionalism, maintaining stability in performance.
  • Pay close attention to details, demonstrating strong planning, organization, and analytical skills.
