We’re expanding our factory network and introducing a new manufacturing facility designed with the climate in mind. Our Glendale, Arizona production factory is a brand new, state-of-the-art facility and distribution center with cutting-edge technology and advanced systems designed with sustainability at the forefront. Innovative water recycling processes, zero waste to landfill, and fully recyclable product packaging made from food-safe materials are just some of the programs we’ve implemented to support Nestlé’s ambition for zero environmental impact by 2030.
The Senior Production Coordinator is accountable for managing essential tasks related to workforce scheduling, qualification tracking, and the coordination of digital systems. Key responsibilities include acting as a subject matter expert in workforce scheduling, regularly reviewing and updating the Indeavor tool (used for hourly workforce scheduling) and Kronos, working collaboratively with supervisors to address staffing and qualification requirements, as well as overseeing the release and closure of purchase orders (POs). This role plays a vital part in ensuring operational efficiency and maintaining workforce readiness.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support leaders with hourly timekeeping reconciliation in Kronos.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of hourly work schedules in Indeavor.
• Perform workforce scheduling routines to ensure scheduling standards are being followed per employee handbook policies. Propose improvements to scheduling standards.
• Assist supervisors with assessing overtime needs, covering vacancies due to call offs and/or planned time off, forecasting staffing needs, and building qualification depth across shifts.
• Manage qualification matrix based on Poka skills and maintain associated Indeavor data.
• Partner with HR on internal job posting workflow, including monitoring completion of shift transfers, positions transfers, and other internal movement.
• Provide insight regarding hourly overtime utilization per budgetary targets.
• Attend operational review meetings.
• Assist Production Department with coordinating communication routines.
• Support stakeholders with routine tasks involving the release and closure of POs. Escalate issues to appropriate parties.
• Conduct assigned production health checks.
• Serve as the Document Control Coordinator for the Production Department.
• Execute Management of Change (MOC) tasks as needed.
• Support continuous improvement activities such as TPM and Integrated Workgroups (IWG).
• Facilitate new employee orientation activities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in accounting, business, information technology, or equivalent field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
• 2 years of experience performing administrative, reporting, and/or clerical duties required, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution center environment.
• 1 year of experience with operations and processes in a manufacturing or distribution center environment required.
• Experience supporting workforce scheduling and qualification tracking preferred.
SKILLS:
• Communication skills (strong verbal and written required).
• Interpersonal skills (ability to effectively work with all levels of leadership).
• Project management/organizational skills.
• Time management skills.
• Strong working knowledge of computer productivity software.
• Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint intermediate proficiency.
