Nestlé Research is based in Lausanne, Switzerland, employs approximately 1000 people and is comprised of five Nestlé Institutes: Food Sciences, Health Sciences, Food Safety & Analytical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Packaging Sciences. As a Group Leader, you will lead a team of scientists to drive data-driven research across our priority health benefit areas. A Day in the Life of a Group Leader

 

  • Lead state-of-the-art data science applications and grow their impact on our R&D Nutrition & Health portfolio
  • Support the team to implement data analytics methodology, build new analytical tools, and generate predictive models to transform our portfolio towards data-driven, translational research
  • Develop a talented group of junior and senior scientists in Data Analytics to grow their career ambitions as experts and managers
  • Partner closely with subject matter experts across the Nestlé Institute of Health Sciences and stakeholders to set strategic priorities

 

What will make you successful

 

  • Masters and/or PhD in Data Sciences, Computer Sciences, Life Sciences or related field
  • Minimum 6-8 years of professional work experience in data sciences in the domain of life sciences
  • Experienced people leader with a track record of growing talent  
  • Excellent communication, organization, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills 
  • Proficiency in data science disciplines like biostatistics, multi-omics integration, predictive modeling, or ML/AI 
  • Track record in scientific publications and a strong external network
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
