Job Title: Technical Specialist (Technical Specialist - Platforms, Websites, E-commerce, and Distribution Management System (DMS))

Role - FTC (Fixed Term Contract 11 Months)

Job Location - Chennai

Job Summary -  We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the technical aspects of our platforms, websites, E-commerce sites, and Distribution Management System (DMS).

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the development and maintenance of our distributor management system , website & platform, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
2. Customize and integrate E-commerce platforms, such as Shopify, Magento to meet business requirements.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and stakeholders, to gather requirements.
4. Handle website and platform upgrades, including content management, plugin installation, , theme customization and API integration
5. Handle optimizing the website and platform performance, including page load speed, caching, and database query optimization
6. Oversee the entire software development life cycle, from planning and design to implementation and deployment.
7. Provide technical guidance to the development team, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
8. Conduct regular code reviews to identify and address any issues or bugs, ensuring the stability and reliability of the systems.
9. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and recommend innovative solutions to improve system performance and user experience.
10. Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement necessary optimizations to enhance efficiency and scalability.
11. Ensure Platform / Web security best practices are implemented, including user authentication and data encryption as rest & in motion, VAPT testing.
12. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues or system failures, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum availability.
13. Conduct regular stand-ups and track progress of the tickets of various team members.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
2. Proven experience as a Tech Lead or similar role, specifically in managing distributor management systems and websites.
3. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, .net.
4. Extensive knowledge of web development frameworks and technologies, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, asp.net and responsive design principles.
5. Experience with database management systems, such as MySQL, Mongodb, Drupal.
6. Experience with CMS platform will add value
7. Should be able to write complex Queries, stored procedures, views etc
8. Proven experience in optimizing SQL queries and Web APIs
9. Should have experience in setting guidelines for writing code and doing code reviews.
10. Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
11. Solid understanding of software development methodologies and best practices, including Agile and DevOps.
12. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
13. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
