Maintenance Coordinator

Maintenance Coordinator

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at the Gympie Factory, home to two of Australia’s most iconic coffee brands — NESCAFÉ and INTERNATIONAL ROAST.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in aligning Production Planning and Maintenance requirements to deliver the Factory Plan. As the Maintenance Coordinator, you will lead the site’s maintenance planning process, establishing both routine and extraordinary maintenance plans for all assets. You will ensure maintenance activities are executed on time, to standard, and in a way that supports safe operations, food safety, quality, compliance, and overall equipment performance.

A core part of your responsibilities includes optimising maintenance plans, integrating Maintenance Excellence Packages (MEP), leveraging digital tools, and ensuring competitive end‑to‑end life‑cycle costs.

A Day in the Life…

In this role, you will:

  • Develop comprehensive maintenance plans for all site assets to ensure reliability, minimise downtime, and maintain healthy assets.
  • Establish and govern the maintenance planning routine, including task prioritisation, scheduling maintenance shutdowns in collaboration with Production, and reviewing work‑order execution to drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and track maintenance execution to ensure adherence to plans and performance standards.
  • Regularly review maintenance routines with the Maintenance team and optimise plans in AMM (Asset & Maintenance Management) for ongoing effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and facilitate deployment of Maintenance Excellence Packages (MEP) across site assets and establish governance to ensure asset performance and maintenance costs align with expected MEP benefits.
  • Leverage digital tools and technologies to enhance asset reliability and optimise planning and maintenance routines.
  • Analyse and optimise the life‑cycle cost of maintenance activities, identifying cost‑saving opportunities while safeguarding asset health and performance.
  • Coordinate maintenance planning for CAPEX projects and new lines, ensuring adequate resources (labour, parts, third parties, budget) are available and that maintenance routines are established from commissioning.

What Will Make You Successful

To be successful, you will bring:

  • At least 3 years of practical experience in a maintenance environment, preferably within Plant Operations & Maintenance.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Asset Maintenance Management.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, reliability‑centred maintenance, and asset management principles.
  • Proficiency with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects and third‑party services, and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of TPM PM Pillar methodology and governance.

Applicants must have full Australian working rights.
Pre‑employment checks will be required prior to appointment.
