Position Summary

<span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">We have a fantastic development opportunity based at our Gympie coffee factory for a Factory Planner/Operational Buyer. The main purposes of this dual role are to:

  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Develop feasible/realistic Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Detailed Production Schedules (DPS) for finished & semi-finished goods for Oceania market.
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">For defined suppliers, manage all transactional process and documents to ensure adequate and timely supply of materials to support manufacturing operations.

<span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Reporting to the Factory Logistics Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the Oceania business by coordinating the supply activities from the factory, working closely with the market supply planner and factory teams to deliver optimal net dispatch requirements on a weekly basis to ensure customer service & optimal inventory levels are met. 


<span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">To determine the factory’s MPS/DPS, collaborating closely with the factory production and market supply teams to consistently deliver achievable plans for both manufacturing and filling/packaging operations
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Manage the site requirements of the new product development and product deletion processes to achieve new product launches on time, including effective materials and finished goods run in and run out management, attend business project meetings
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">To ensure targets are meet for customer service levels. Ensure a robust supply plan is developed and executed in a timely manner, ensuring stock availability and customer service whilst ensuring business and factory cost targets are meet.
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Manage procurement processes for material purchasing and communicate requirements through to vendors.
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Ensure that agreed service levels with internal stakeholders are maintained; and undertake root cause analysis and corrective actions where deviations are identified.
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">This is a site-based role, working Monday to Friday. Some flexibility may be required to respond to our 24/7 operations. You will be joining a high performing team with an excellent track record for safety performance
What will make you successful
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Minimum 2 years’ experience in a factory planning or procurement role within a manufacturing and distribution environment
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Developed analytical skills, including SAP experience.
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Highly developed understanding of demand and supply planning and inbound material management
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Confident communicator, able to multi-task, prioritise, and adapt to change.
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Eye for detail, able to spot opportunities and proactively manage risk.
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">CPIM or supply chain tertiary qualification advantageous.
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
