Position Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, we’ll count on you to support the maintenance of all plant systems, including facilities, unloading, processing, packing, and warehouse operations. You’ll troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment while always working in a safe manner. Our Maintenance Technicians work in a climate-controlled shop and play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements across our plant.
This position will work night shift (7pm-7am) on a rotating weekly schedule with every other weekend off.

Responsibilities
- Maintenance of plant systems: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation
- Electrical work with 120, 220, and 480 volt
- Troubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCs
- Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators
- Repair gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, and packaging equipment
- Maintain wastewater system, boiler operations, cooling towers, and general building needs
- Complete predictive maintenance such as vibration analysis and oil sample collection
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and 1+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment
OR
- Vocational certificate in Mechatronics
OR
- 2 year technical degree completed
Hager City is one of our two factories in Wisconsin—located across the Mississippi River from Red Wing, Minnesota, and about 250 miles from our location in Jefferson. Our dedicated associates come together to produce all the wet and dry coatings for our pet food brands nationwide, making this location’s support vital to our operations and truly one-of-a-kind. The approximate hourly pay rate for this position is $34.65 per hour including a shift differential for night shifts. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
