This role is 37 hours per week, 3 working days minimum based on site at our Halifax Factory location

Position Summary
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Factory Planning Lead, the main purpose of this role is to Lead the detailed production planning (DPS) and inbound material requirement (Operational procurement) activities for the Halifax Factory. Develop and execute supply strategies to ensure delivery of the required stock levels to meet demand requirements within agreed working capital and cost targets whilst ensuring safety and compliance. Driving continuous improvement in the efficiency and agility of the planning and procurement activities. Ensuring operational delivery of key stakeholder (Technical & Production, UK commercial, Export market, Zone management) deliverables. Deliver Transformation in Factory Supply Planning through effective Project Management & stakeholder engagement.

Reporting into the Category Demand Supply Planning Manager, you will lead a team that is responsible for the confectionery short term production plans and inbound material requirement activities for the Halifax Factory.
Key responsibilities include:
- Active member of the factory leadership team and supporting all SHE and People and Process related activities.
- Operational delivery of the material stocks required in the network to achieve planned production within agreed working capital and cost targets.
- Develop and prioritise initiatives to improve the efficiency, reliability, E2E value chain and agility of the Nestle supply stream linked with Halifax Factory.
- Lead Factory Planning projects with Business Excellence managers for new processes to agreed timescales.
- Develop and prioritise initiatives to improve the efficiency, reliability, cost and agility of the inbound supply stream (from suppliers)
- Support the competency build in the Halifax Factory planning team through training and development of support tools e.g competency matrices
- Work with business analytics to develop, analyse and rollout centralised KPI measures
- Collaborate with Cross functional teams to identify business opportunities to improve business results.
- Manage compliance and capability within the supply stream
- Lead, coach and develop supply stream members. - Leadership development
- Operational management and development of the procurement and planning processes driving business connectivity.
- Clear communications of supply stream metrics to key stakeholders to support delivery of MBP, AVC and Factory Planning Processes
- Alignment with the relevant Capacity and Supply Planning teams (above market) to ensure delivery of the supply plan
What will make you successful?
To be successful in this role you will ideally come from a Supply Chain background

- Exposure to Factory logistics and Warehousing would be ideal but not essential
