This is a full-time permanent opportunity.


We have an excellent opportunity to join our Nestlé team as a Quality Systems Manager at our factory in Halifax. The Nestlé Halifax Factory in West Yorkshire is the home of iconic confectionery brands including Quality Street and After Eight. These are produced through controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines.

In this role you will work as part of a team working towards achieving common goals and have responsibility to take a lead in the delivery of key quality objectives. We are looking for someone to provide support and direction to the factory to ensure compliance and continuous improvement of the factory quality system and processes.

 

A day in the life of a Quality Support Manager
 
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Quality Team to produce safe, compliant and a “First Time Right” product. In this role you will have ownership of the sites quality systems and external audits, supporting the Quality Manager in reviewing and planning quality improvement across the factory.

 

Key responsibilities Include:

 

  • Contribute as a key member of the factory Quality Assurance team.  Work with the team and wider factory to ensure compliance to the Nestle quality system.
  • Work with the Quality Manager in reviewing and planning quality improvement across the factory – identify trends and themes to focus factory effort on top issues.
  • Review of manufacturing records and conducting routine release of finished products.
  • Provide expertise in the Nestle quality system – ensure a common approach across all areas and support the factory Area Quality Managers.
  • Manage key quality processes – for example management sensory, internal audit, document control, third party audit. 
  • Coordinate with Consumer Services to investigate and close out complaints.
  • Act as net content expert for the factory.
  • GLOBE QM superuser for the factory – providing training, coaching as required and conducting regular healthchecks 
  • Support Inter Market Supply with completion of product briefs, creation of certificates and investigation of complaints.
  • Conduct verification activities and own or support close out of identified actions.


What will make you successful
 

  • Ability to evidence working with and improving Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 / FSSC 22000)
  • Strong SAP skills (ideally in factory or quality aspects)
  • Ideally but not essential a degree or equivalent in a Science / Engineering / Quality related subject
  • Proven Track record in Fast Moving consumer Goods (Food and Drink)
  • Ability to take a process, retrieve data and identify opportunities and trends
  • Ability to evidence working in an environment committed to continuous improvement
  • Understanding of auditing and verification of a Factory Quality System
