We are looking for an Electrician who will install and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment in first class working condition. Ensure efficient safe operation of machinery by setting and adjusting devices to within allowed tolerances. All work carried out on premises must conform to IEC, IEEE and internal standards if more stringent in all areas of engineering, quality and safety health & environment. Fault finding and attending to breakdowns. Complete the necessary administrative tasks for AMM, SHE, CDM. To be actively involved with new project installations, CDM and MDWT.

 

A Day in the Life of an Electrician

  • Perform planned preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and availability for production targets.
  • Proactively identify potential issues during routine patrols, prevent breakdowns, and continuously improve equipment reliability, maintainability, and efficiency.
  • Install, service, repair, and maintain electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, including fault finding and programming on Allen Bradley PLCs, Powerflex VSDs, and related instrumentation.
  • Diagnose, analyse, and resolve equipment faults (including recurring issues) on live production processes, ensuring repairs are completed quickly and “first time right.”
  • Investigate recurring faults, recommend corrective actions, and implement improvements to enhance system performance and reduce downtime.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, ensuring equipment, electrical panels, and documentation (including up-to-date wiring diagrams) are accurate, clean, and compliant.
  • Adhere strictly to safety standards, including lockout/tagout and permit-to-work procedures, and ensure all unsafe conditions are immediately addressed.
  • Update and correct technical drawings as required to reflect equipment changes and improvements.
  • Complete required administrative and compliance tasks (e.g., AMM, SHE, CDM, MDWT) accurately and on time.
  • Work flexible shifts, standby, and overtime as required to support operational needs.

 

What Will Make You Successful

  • Trade qualification in Instrumentation and Control systems or Electrical or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in electrical and instrumentation field.
  • Strong safety mindset and understanding of industry safety requirements.
  • Willingness to work shifts and standby.
  • Hands-on and disciplined approach to work.
  • Preferrable food industry setup
