We are now looking for a Materials Resource Planner to base in Harare, Zimbabwe.  

 

Establish a detailed production schedule according to MPS Plan, prepared by the Supply Planner. Monitor execution of the DPS plan and report back to all planning and manufacturing partners on its status. Plan the DPS time bucket in a sequenced, capacity constrained and executable schedule. Ensure raw and pack materials availability excluding MACC and imported materials as defined by SMM team within min and max stock cover parameters. 

 

A day in the life of DPS/MRP Planner: 

 

Create a Detailed weekly production schedule  

- Create a feasible production plan within DPS horizon (4 weeks rolling) taking into account capacity, labour and materials constraints 

- Gain consensus with Supply Planner on SKU prioritisation  

-  Housekeeping and health checks (process orders, past due po’s etc.) 

-  Create and maintain process orders to meet DPS plan. 

- Drive the Daily and Weekly Production Plan Reviews and get sign-off from planning partners 

- Ensure correct planning parameters always reflect in SAP to ensure accurate MRP and MSA/APP snapshot 

• Track MSA and APP and ensure reason codes are documented 

 

Exception Management  

• Maintain DPS master data in APO  

• Identify any exceptions in actual production compared to the planned production and adjust plans in the best possible way to ensure delivery as close as possible to agreed plan. 

- Monitor Raw and Pack material daily availability (quantity and in quality inspection) to ensure supply to production 

• Accommodate capacity requirements for trial runs 

• Align with supply planner on maintenance of planned shutdowns in capacity profiles 

• Share visibility of ageing materials and propose action   

• Monitor materials phase-in and phase-in with MRP planner  

- Manage blocked finished goods process to ensure quick resolution of exceptions 

  • Participate / contribute in Daily and Weekly NCE meetings

 

Raw and Pack Materials ordering (Local suppliers) 

• Ensure raw and pack materials availability for production through end-to-end purchase order management including managing of parked & blocked invoices and GRIR 

• Work with procurement to secure future supply 

• Manage inventory within agreed stock cover targets as agreed with DSP and SMM 

• Participate in I2L process 

- Manage MRP views to ensure accuracy of master data (lead times, lot sizes, planning parameters) 

• Expedite deliveries to meet the production plan and satisfy stock targets 

• Maintain orders in SAP ensuring accurate delivery dates and condition maintenance where applicable 

• Provide rolling weekly bucket forecasts to suppliers 

• Manage and avoid stock redundancy 

- Monitor key indicators and escalate exceptions in time to avoid stock out situations 

• Manage rejected stock returns and credit notes   

  • Conduct RPIO exercise at least twice a year to ensure best stock cover profiles to suit factory requirements and working capital targets and ensure SAP is updated accordingly

What will make you successful:
