POSITION SUMMARY:
Our Hartwell, Georgia, factory measures an impressive 500,000 square feet. It represents our most versatile facility to date, enabling us to switch product lines with greater speed and efficiency. Together, we take immense pride in producing and distributing the brands that our customers trust and that bring joy to pets' lives. In addition to offering excellent career opportunities to over 370 associates, we actively demonstrate our commitment to the community. We support local pet shelters and rescue efforts, as well as engage in education and hunger relief programs, ensuring that we make a positive impact beyond our factory walls. As a Calibration Technician, you are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of various measuring and testing equipment used in our manufacturing facility. Your primary job is to validate the calibration process equipment, manage tool calibrations, and adjust to meet the required standards and specifications. Additionally, you will help manage the PDM (predictive maintenance program), through state-of-the-art technologies to track failures.
- Conduct tests and inspections to verify the accuracy and functionality of equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Document calibration procedures, results, maintaining accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with the Quality Department and others to develop and improve calibration procedures and techniques.
- Participate in training to enhance knowledge and skills related to calibration, maintenance, and related equipment.
- Independently manage the calibration and validation workload, ensuring deadlines and compliance standards are met.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, industrial, military, or related environment OR a 2-year technical degree.
The approximate hourly pay range for this position is $32.69 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
