Position Summary

 

Our Hartwell, Georgia, factory measures an impressive 500,000 square feet. It represents our most versatile facility to date, enabling us to switch product lines with greater speed and efficiency. Together, we take immense pride in producing and distributing the brands that our customers trust and that bring joy to pets' lives. In addition to offering excellent career opportunities to over 1,000 associates, we actively demonstrate our commitment to the community. We support local pet shelters and rescue efforts, as well as engage in education and hunger relief programs, ensuring that we make a positive impact beyond our factory walls. We also are doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal.

 

As the Production Lead, you’ll ensure the factory operates in a smooth, safe, and efficient manner across processes. Work collaboratively across departments as you supply quality products to Processing and Packaging while minimizing waste on the product lines to which you are assigned.

 

  • Perform shift set-ups for all areas of our process to ensure schedules are being followed.
  • Work with operators to monitor, define, and correct problems affecting waste, downtime, and quality.
  • Record downtime efficiency levels.
  • Complete all sanitation tasks assigned by Team Lead to ensure unsanitary equipment is washed, wash downs are completed as needed, and the MSS is completed.
  • Complete internal departmental inspections and follow up as needed.
  • Perform visual inspections and record findings.
  • Submit work orders and ensure maintenance is called in a timely manner for mechanical or electrical issues.
  • Assist in training and instruct department personnel, including giving breaks to facility employees when needed.

 

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ year experience working in a production capacity such as manufacturing, agriculture, warehouse, industrial, military, related environment

 

 

The approximate hourly pay rate for this position is $27.38. Please note that the pay rate provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
