POSITION SUMMARY:

The Line Manager is responsible for providing effective leadership and coordination for assigned production supervisors and operations. The Line Manager is responsible for upholding the plant policies and procedures and maintaining safety, quality, and production standards.  Develops and reports on safety, quality, and production information for areas of responsibility. Obtains and maintains a high level of knowledge in how the business operates to ensure a smooth operation of the production facility.

  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees through engagement in order to strive for zero accidents.
  • Strive for zero defects through continuous improvement activities in order to reduce quality upsets.
  • Achieve high levels of asset intensity by reducing unplanned stops, speed loss, waste generation, and optimizing planned downtime performance.
  • Monitor product quality, issues, and changes, correcting any deficiencies. Monitor, control, and manage scrap produced to facilitate reductions and increase yields.
  • Assist the Production Manager in the scheduling of the plant, communicating production needs to production supervisors, and monitoring overall production performance.
  • Pillar participation as required in GA and TPM. Participate/lead DOR, problem solving activities, and all NCE initiatives. Achieve departmental results that support the Operational Master Plan.
  • Other duties as required by supervision.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education:  Bachelors degree (+2 years experience), Associates degree (+5 years experience), or HS diploma (+10 years experience).
  • Experience:  Minimum of two years in a manufacturing environment or other area which an individual has managed processes and people.

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $92,000 to $135,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
