Our Hartwell, Georgia, factory measures an impressive 500,000 square feet. It represents our most versatile facility to date, enabling us to switch product lines with greater speed and efficiency. The Production Operator rotates job responsibilities on shift between one of four teams, Meat-Prep, Processing, Retorts, and Packaging. You will own a designated area of responsibility within their team, but also be responsible for understanding and covering all job tasks within their team on a routine rotation basis (and for covering similar job functions throughout the plant as needed).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Your primary responsibility in all of the work you perform is to be safe. Never put yourself or fellow employees at risk of injury. Responsible for following all plant safety rules and work rules.
- Responsible for machine operation, shutdown, changeover, clean-up, and day-to-day troubleshooting to allow for production of safe, quality production.
- Responsible for efficient operation of team tasks and responsibilities to safely produce a product with zero deviations from quality standards.
- Responsible for maintaining basic condition of equipment through Cleaning, Inspection, & Lubrication activities.
- Provide on-shift troubleshooting support to identify and correct technical breakdowns and minor stoppages
- Ensure Cleaning-Inspection-Lubrication activities are appropriately allocated to maintenance budget
Requirements:
- 12 months+ experience working in a manufacturing, production, agriculture, warehouse, military or related environment
The approximate hourly pay rate for this position is $24.15. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
