Position Summary
At Nestlé Purina PetCare, we’re a “safety first” culture, driven by a zero accident, zero defect, zero waste mentality. As the Safety Coordinator, you will work with the Safety Manager to achieve the plant’s safety goals and performance measures. You will assist the Safety Manager in administering all employee safety related programs and record keeping and ensure all safety standards are met in the day-to-day operations on the plant floor.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure factory is compliant by providing administrative support including data integrity, report generation, document maintenance (OSHA/Corporate Training Report Generation & Compliance Audits, Updating of local Standard Operating Procedures & Manuals, etc.).
- Maintain data and spreadsheets associated with programs such as behavioral based safety, lockout/tagout, risk assessments, etc.
- Compile necessary data and complete monthly reports as required by policy.
- Act as a resource to all departments in the plant to provide safety resources.
- Coordinates billing for PPE and other safety supplies as needed.
- Oversees the communication of information to employees, through bulletin board posting and video communication system.
- Works safely, models all safety practices and provides daily safety representation in required meetings and floor presence.
Basic Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience: 1+ years of administrative experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $29.36 an hour for Safety Coordinator. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
