POSITION SUMMARY: 

As a Safety Specialist (Site Security), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our organization. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around access control, overseeing third-party security services, and maintaining a vigilant eye on security-related activities within our premises. You will work closely with the Safety Manager to ensure a secure and compliant environment for employees, visitors, and assets.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform mobile patrols and static observations of Nestlé Purina’s campus
  • Check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, and unauthorized persons while inspecting buildings, grounds, and security devices
  • Provide emergency services and rescue, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and first aid during sudden illnesses or injury
  • Conduct initial investigations into security infractions and crimes committed against property or employees and prepare concise and detailed reports
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming calls and inquiries related to security issues and concerns
  • Triage and prioritize incoming calls, addressing routine matters independently and escalating complex or critical issues to the appropriate security team members
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's security systems, protocols, and access control procedures
  • Manage the badge access system, including creating, disabling, and modifying access privileges for employees, contractors, and visitors
  • Utilize de-escalation skills to handle challenging or high-stress situations with professionalism and composure.

 

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED

• 3+ years’ experience in a security-related role or access control management

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $48,000 to $89,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
