Position Summary
Our Hartwell, Georgia, factory measures an impressive 500,000 square feet. It represents our most versatile facility to date, enabling us to switch product lines with greater speed and efficiency. Together, we take immense pride in producing and distributing the brands that our customers trust and that bring joy to pets' lives. We support local pet shelters and rescue efforts, as well as engage in education and hunger relief programs, ensuring that we make a positive impact beyond our factory walls. As a Senior Staff Engineer (Reliability), you’ll provide leadership, coaching, and technical expertise to support asset care plans and associated maintenance practices. Bring your expertise to an industry leader in pet care are you manage continuous improvement of equipment reliability, availability, and maintainability in your assigned area.
- Lead and manage capital projects, including new equipment installation, plant layout and design, automation, and maintenance.
- Coordinate operation of steam generation, utilities, HVAC, process liquids, facilities systems, and fire protection systems to provide uninterrupted service.
- Monitor outside contractors to ensure compliance with all company standards including safety, performance, and budgeting.
- Direct installation, modification, and arrangement of existing and new equipment for assigned projects.
- Implement and monitor maintenance budgeting process.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining factory technical competencies.
- Maintain working knowledge of the engineering environmental activities including air, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and solid waste.
- Inspect and advise on all areas of the plant for equipment design, evaluation, and troubleshooting.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with 3+ years of experience leading the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of industrial services and energy consumption within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
OR
- Associate's degree in applicable technical discipline with 5+ years of experience leading the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of industrial services and energy consumption within a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment
OTHER
- Knowledge and exposure to TPM, Six Sigma, and various problem-solving methodologies

The approximate yearly pay range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
